The food contact materials tested here are subject to different testing standards depending on the country of sale. such as:

US food contact materials testing needs to comply with the FDA, and the US Food and Drug Administration (FDA) is responsible for regulating food contact materials that must be tested to ensure food contact safety standards are met. The specific standards are: United States Federal Code, Part 21, Food and Drugs (21 CFR).

The EU food contact material testing needs to comply with the requirements of EU 1935/2004/EC. The control of EU food contact materials is very strict, and products that are exported to the EU must pass the corresponding test certification. Each material has different test standard requirements, silicone products need to meet (AP2004 5), rubber (AP2004 4), organic coating (AP2004 1).

German food contact materials testing needs to comply with LFGB. LFGB is the abbreviation of “Food, Commodity and Feed Law” issued by Germany in September 2005. It is the norm and core of other special food hygiene laws and regulations. The German standard refers to the EU standard, combined with the requirements of its own country, more strict control of materials, sensory testing is a unique project of LFGB.

 French food contact material testing needs to comply with DGCCRF. These products are sold to France. In addition to complying with EU Regulation (EC) No 1935/2004 regulations, they also need to comply with local French regulations, including the French General Directorate for Competition, Consumption and Anti-Fraud. (DGCCRF) released note 2004-64 and French Décret no2007-766. France is a member of the European Union, so the regulations are also adjusted to the regulations of the country according to EU regulations. In particular, the peroxide value test in silica gel materials, the total amount of organic volatiles (VOM), and the test of organotin compounds highlight the importance France attaches to the detection of food contact materials.
